Sketches. There is a pesky hair on my scanner that I keep having to edit out. Because I keep not cleaning my scanner.

Sketchbook dump!

I’ve never been very good at keeping a sketchbook, but lately I am realizing that it would probably be good for me as an artist if I did. I feel that all of my recent attempts at drawing and painting are rigid and lifeless. These doodles are from my stay in London. Hopefully the habit will continue now that I’m home.

Some doodles in a larger sketchbook I have. Still trying to decide where to put the scanner in this new bedroom of ours. Also, I need more storage space for inks and other art supplies. I need a hollowed-out shelf in the wall to put inkwells in. I don’t think the landlord would like it if I hollowed out the sheetrock to make an ink cave.

drawsiberia:

this is the first in a series of characters I’m working on with a vaguely nomadic theme to them, so I’m trying to establish a visual identity for the group, things can only get weirder from now on.

If you’re not following drawsiberia you probably should be. James’s sketches and drawings are lovely.

Some sad stories and nudes in my sb

Don’t we all wish our sketchbooks looked as great as Sophie’s?
