Another drawing. The black paint is Dr. Ph. Martin’s watercolor, which is beautifully saturated, but I’ve heard that it is very unstable, especially when exposed to light, and is thus best for illustrations that will be reproduced (as opposed to hanging the original up in a frame). Does anyone out there use Dr. Ph. Martin’s? What do you think of it?
A great illustration by Yoko Tanji. It reminds me of the art that has contributed to my own growth as an artist. Yoko is also on flickr.
Watercolor and ink. 7x10”.
Pen and ink, which I’m feeling rusty on these days.
Hey everyone! Here’s the new blob for this week. Draw on it, add to it, flip it, rotate it, collage on it, whatever, and submit your finished work here.

New blob!
These prints will debut at Unique SF this weekend! Stop by and say hi! Price of admission gets you some pretty great stuff. Get your tickets ahead of time here.
Taking a break from Unique SF preparations to let you all know that I’m going to have a couple pieces in the upcoming J-Pop Explosion! show at Big Umbrella Studios in San Francisco. The show opens Friday, July 13th at 7:00 PM. I plan on being there! You can also preview the show at the Divisadero Art Walk the night before. Fun!
When the paint dries I’ll scan this properly.
I’m also making this. What are you doing?

Watercolor and ink. 7x10”.
Inks and paints all mixed together. The hue of this piece is so beautiful in person. Anyway, good night.
Still really enjoying my Dr. Ph Martin’s liquid watercolor. The blue is so bright!
