Last night’s Sketch Tuesday was a blast! I sat for four hours and drew things that people then bought. Making art is usually an extremely solitary endeavor for me (and probably for most artists), so it was weird to have people looking over my shoulder as I painted. But you know how bacon and chocolate together are weird in a good way? That’s how it was. Weird in a good way.
I usually don’t make it into event photos, but above are two pictures from the event. (Clearly I just need to sit still long enough and it will happen.) These were taken by Michael Cuffe (on tumblr), and you can see the whole set on Facebook.
P.S. I have two drawings that didn’t sell. I might post them up here for sale later, so keep an eye out!

111 Minna Gallery / Tuesday, July 24 / 6-10PM
Fun news, you guys! I’ll be participating in a special edition of Sketch Tuesdays at 111 Minna in San Francisco on July 24. It’s an all-women lineup! We’ll be drawing live, and as each artist finishes a drawing, they put it up for sale right there, and anyone can buy it directly from them.
You guys. I am so excited for this. Look at this group of women! They are all ridiculously amazing!
So if you’re in town on the 24th, I hope you’ll come hang out! More details here.
