As I mentioned last week, I’ve reopened my shop, which contains prints, original art, and some pocket mirrors (for fun!). Above is a new 8x10” archival print. You can find Mouse here.

If a doodle takes you like five sittings to finish is it still a doodle?

Hi! I read somewhere that you had to clean your nibs after you used them with ink so they can last longer, and I was wondering if you do this to your nibs? ( I don't clean mine but I want them to last...)

Hi! I always at least rinse my nibs in water when I’m done using them. I have Higgins Pen Cleaner that I use to get the dried ink off after every several uses. Regularly washing them with pen cleaner will probably extend the life of the nibs, although I’m not very good about doing it myself!

I have the time (at the moment) but not the energy.
P.S. If you want to make something from the watercolor portion of this yourself, you can here.

Hey Gabby, do you use cold or hot press paper for ink and watercolor pieces?

I use both! Here’s a post I did that shows the differences between the two: hot v. cold pressed paper

I think I’ll end up flipping this one around if I ever finish it.

Hey everyone! If you don’t already know I have a side project called Gab Collab where I post a watercolor blob and you alter it and then submit it. The project was taking a break but is back this week!
Above is a submission by one of my fav artists Michael Chase. Here’s what the original blob looked like. Now you go make something at gabcollab.tumblr.com!
