Cat

So if you follow me on twitter you know our cat is kind of rude. Well, I made this little doodle with Dr. Ph. Martin’s liquid watercolor. It was finally dry, sitting next to my printer waiting to be scanned. The cat likes to hang out next to my printer.

She also really likes licking anything that I make with Dr. Ph. Martin’s liquid watercolor. If I leave a drawing unattended, she will just lick it. I heard her licking this drawing, but by the time I stopped her it was too late:

That face used to be black. Now it is not. Because it’s in my cat’s stomach, I guess.

After I took the above photo I left the doodle on my desk only to catch her at it again:

So, that’s my stink butt cat.

Isabelle Menin’s manipulated photos look like paintings, and I find them enchanting. More on her tumblr and facebook page. I found her by checking in on the artists on tumblr tag.

Ghosttthead's illustrations are always great, but this one in particular almost made me laugh out loud just now.

I was working on this back in April and now I can finally share this album art I did for the band Fialta

Fialta is an indie pop band from Central California, and I definitely recommend checking out their Soundcloud and Facebook page. You can preorder this CD (physical or digital) from their shop. It’s the perfect summer soundtrack.

I did the artwork—front and back cover and watercolor textures on the inside—and August Kreowski did the layout. (You can grab the art from the album’s cover as a print in my shop.) The band was a pleasure to work with, and I couldn’t be happier with how this turned out!

I still have materials left to make a couple more of these sticker sets, which are available in my shop. If they run out I can restock them next week!

I so enjoyed making these little doodles last week that I revisited them in watercolor and made stickers out of them. Stickers! It’s a set of 6 glossy stickers ranging in size from 2 to 4.5” long. You can buy the set in my shop. Maybe I should get matching postcards made, too?

P.S. Also, today is the last day to pre order this print at a discounted price.

Top: Another page from my Spera: Glass Flowers chapter, with text by Olivier Pichard

Bottom: At one point I arranged the illustrations I had finished to evaluate where I was when suddenly cat.

I hear the next chapter will go up soon, so now’s a good time to start from the beginning and follow the story. (Read the original post about this project. Visit Spera author Josh Tierney’s tumblr.)
