I’m procrastinating so badly on a poster commission that I stopped sketching to organize the warm grey, french grey, and cool grey Prismacolors that I haven’t used in years and then took pictures of them and posted them here and told you about it.

Beautiful, like everything on Maxi Quy’s tumblr.
My graphic novel is finally done! Here’s some finished pages from the book. I’ll post more pages during the week and put up some copies for sale in my store. I’m reasonably happy with the end result. I now realise why illustrators don’t paint entire comics in watercolour. It takes a really freaking long time. Hence the final artwork remaining in black and white, which I feel worked out quite well in the end.
Now this project is (almost) out of the way I can get back to individual pieces again and start working towards a group show we’re having in January. The show will include work from my friends Henry Christian-Slane, Adam Tan, Alex Martin and Nick Blazey and will be amazing. Anyway thanks for being patient with me!
This is was people are collaborating on at Gab Collab this week! This blob goes through Sunday, so feel free to participate!
It’s Monday, and here’s the new collaboration for the week! Read what to do with it on the submission page. Go make something!
Guys did I find the best sunglasses or what say yes?
EDIT: youswiminmywater just sent me this and I laughed really hard.
My sister came to visit me here in Oakland in October. We took lots of pictures of us doing stuff around town, but this one makes me crack up so it’s the only one I’m going to post.
P.S. I hope you voted today, American compatriots!

Detail of this piece. I tried to keep this one light and watery, without heavy outlining.
