Hot damn, you guys! Jacob finished one of my unfinished drawings and I love how he transformed it into something amazing. Find more of his work at his blog.

In case you missed it:

Hey guys! I’ll be closing my shop on August 25th because of reasons, so until then you can get 35% off any order that is $10 or more. Use coupon code TAKEABREAK at checkout for your discount.
This is the biggest discount I’ve ever done, so if there’s a print or something else that you want, now’s a great time to get it! The shop will reopen October-ish (I think maybe possibly).
My shop’s at drawgabbydraw.goodsie.com.

Watercolor, white ink, red Micron pen. The Micron doesn’t draw so well on cold-pressed watercolor paper. The paper’s too rough.

Hi there,, i always draw sort of a "nice" heads but i always struggle to draw hair no matter how i tried its almost all the time ugly unless a miracle happened by a mistake,, so here is my : can you share your hair and smoke drawing techniques?

Well, if you want to see really good hair, look at Adria Mercuri’s tumblr. You’ll notice that Adria (and all good artists) draw hair as a texture instead of drawing each individual strand of hair. When you look at someone’s hair in real life, you’re not really seeing millions of little lines; you’re seeing a solid surface made of those tiny pieces.

I’ll be the first to admit that I do not really follow this rule, but I’m usually not going for a realistic look in the hair I draw. It’s ok to break the rules sometimes to achieve the effect you want. Hope that helps a little!
